Welcome to Little People of America Mid-Hudson River Chapter 40
The Mid-Hudson River Chapter of Little People of America (LPA) was formed in 1985 to serve the needs of the LPA community living in the Hudson River Valley region north of New York City. Just like the great river after which it is named, our chapter strives to be a gateway of support and information to people of short stature and their families.
Historically, the Hudson River valley is said to be “symbolic of rugged individualism where ability and influence has shaped our destiny....” As individuals and as a community, we have the ability to influence the world and shape our destiny through education and awareness. Here you will find resources pertaining to LPA, dwarfism, medical information and links to other dwarfism-related sites.
The Hudson River played a vital role in nearly every era in American history and we too can play a vital role in many areas of the lives of individuals with dwarfism and their families. With your participation our chapter, just like the Hudson, will run wide with what is at the heart of our members. Enjoy the journey.
This web site was designed as a means of providing information to LPA members and their families. It is intended to be educational and a source of information for members to benefit from what LPA and our chapter has to offer. You will find information regarding chapter, district and national events and how you can get involved to secure a fun and exciting chapter. We try to provide useful information to inform members of what is available to them as well as educate and bring about awareness to those unfamiliar with dwarfism in general. We welcome new comers and others interested in getting involved with Little People of America.
